Mission: The mission of sears is to provide leadership in response to the needs of our aging population. We believe we have a responsibility for studying, analyzing, planning, developing, and implementing quality service to the aging where appropriate needs are found for health care and residential living services and can be provided in a christian environment. Programs: The organization provides long-term nursing care to elderly who are no longer able to care for themselves or elderly who may have different stages of dementia. Assistance is also provided to senior citizens who are still somewhat independent with their daily lives - offering services such as meals, housekeeping, and the availability of nursing staff. Other services provided include home health & hospice services to residents in our long term care communities as well as the outside community. Also provide specialty assistance such as 24 hour care, assistance for personal needs, & home health maintenance. Therapy services can also be provided to residents of our communities.

Homeless & Housing, Housing & Shelter

Mission: To strengthen families and communities through affordable home ownership. We accomplish this through two avenues - building new affordable homes and performing critical repairs on owner occupied homes in order to allow families to continue to live in their current homes. Target demographics: Low income families that are 30-60% of the median income for Fitchburg as set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Volunteers aged 16 and up. Direct beneficiaries per year: We build/rehab 2-4 homes a year and do 2-4 critical repair/home modification for handicapped access a year. Geographic areas served: 25 communities in north central Massachusetts Programs: With a mission to strengthen families and communities through affordable home ownership the organization has broadened its efforts to impact as many lower income families as possible. In north central massachusetts we continue to build the capacity of the organization through either building new homes or renovating owner occupied homes starting with veteran families and then branching out to all potential families. The organization is concentrating its efforts in specific areas in order to make the greatest impact. operation of the restore. The store receives donated building materials and supplies from contractors that would normally be disposed of at the end of construction. We also receive donations of furniture and household goods from individuals. These items are subsequently resold to generate funds in order to provide resources to continue our affordable home building process. other expenses in direct support of homebuilding and program operations.

Mission: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need.

Mission: Our mission is to lead our community by serving the homeless with help, hope and healing. We have a confident expectation that a life can change. Our hope is to provide shelter and rehabilitation. Programs: To secure and renovate a building to provide shelter for the homeless in our community.
