Mission: To strengthen families and communities through affordable home ownership. We accomplish this through two avenues - building new affordable homes and performing critical repairs on owner occupied homes in order to allow families to continue to live in their current homes. Target demographics: Low income families that are 30-60% of the median income for Fitchburg as set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Volunteers aged 16 and up. Direct beneficiaries per year: We build/rehab 2-4 homes a year and do 2-4 critical repair/home modification for handicapped access a year. Geographic areas served: 25 communities in north central Massachusetts Programs: With a mission to strengthen families and communities through affordable home ownership the organization has broadened its efforts to impact as many lower income families as possible. We also receive donations of furniture and household goods from individuals.
