About Immigrant Guide Immigrant Guide is a community-rooted 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to uplifting immigrant families across Washington State. We support immigrants, refugees, trafficking survivors, and asylum seekers as they navigate the challenges of building new lives and lead systems change efforts to shape a more just and inclusive future. Our mission is to provide culturally responsive services, transformative leadership and policy advocacy training, and healing-centered programs that help immigrant communities thrive and lead systems change. Programs include the Community Advocacy and Leadership Academy (CALA), Brave Spaces Fellowship, Family Legal Support Services, and Dance & Movement Therapy. Each initiative fosters resilience, amplifies voices, and builds bridges between cultures. Our team is made up of passionate advocates, educators, and community leaders—many of whom are immigrants themselves—working toward a Washington where immigrant communities are not only supported but celebrated.

About CALA The Community Advocacy and Leadership Academy (CALA) is a 12-week intensive fellowship program equipping emerging immigrant and BIPOC leaders in Snohomish County, WA, with the skills and confidence to become effective policy advocates and transformative community leaders. Fellows gain tools to engage in decision-making spaces such as school boards, city councils, commissions, and leadership roles at city, county, and state levels. Training topics include community advocacy, campaigning, mobilization, climate and economic justice, housing and land use, equity and social justice, leadership and organizing skills, storytelling for advocacy, municipal budgeting, and parliamentary procedures. In partnership with Sage Leaders, graduates join a growing BIPOC Leadership Alumni Network, gaining mentorship, peer support, and opportunities to advance policy advocacy and community impact. CALA is rooted in the belief that those most impacted by policy should have the power—and the seats at the table—to shape it.
