The creation of a mobile phone application allows a user-friendly and nationwide approach to facilitate refugees, asylum seekers, and voluntary immigrants with essential information on how and where to access the benefits and help they need when they arrive or stay in the United States.The application is easy to navigate and features the abilities to call within the application, navigate to certain addresses, and partner with organizations to advertise community events. In addition, the application is GPS responsive to help guide users to addresses they are trying to reach.Legal advice is available through the application 24/7 through an immigration discussion platform for immigrants to ask questions about the immigration legal process, and be privately answered by only participating lawyers on the platform.Immigrant Guide’s vision for this application is to build confidence and knowledge within individuals undergoing settlement and adjustment in the United States, as there are many legal hoops through which many immigrants need to jump through in order to maintain their legal status. Through this app, we hope to provide a myriad of quality support services to assist new arrivals in assimilating smoothly, comfortably, and successfully.
