Dance, Community, and a Sense of Belonging – Flora Serugga

I am an immigrant from Uganda. I have had a wonderful experience being part of Immigrant Guide, since moving to the United States in 2023. The programs and activities are uplifting, and they’ve given me a sense of belonging and purpose. One of the highlights for me has been the dance therapy sessions. Each session brings people from different cultures together, helping us learn from one another through movement, rhythm, art and expression. I’ve enjoy taking part in the cultural and volunteer activities, which have opened my eyes to new ways of giving back. Every event leaves me feeling inspired and connected to others who share the same passion for growth and community.
